• History, 1563-1570. 830 Robert's estate was restored to him in 1563, knighted by the Earl of Sussex in 1570, being with that general, in the expedition that year into Scotland, to aid King James VI, against the Hamilton Faction. Sir Robert sold the monastery and manor of Nuneaton in 1564 to Sir Ambrose Cave. He committed bigamy having married again during his first wife's lifetime, Heraldic Visitation 1564.
Robert married Dorothy Gascoigne, daughter of Sir William Gascoigne and Margaret Latimer, about 1540.830 (Dorothy Gascoigne was born circa 1530 in England 1587.)
