Ancestry. 637 The MacKenzie book " Colonial Families of the United States" cites that John was the sixth Lord Greystock (sic) who was descended from the Mortimers, John de Brienne (King of jerusalem), Hugh Capet, William the Conqueror, Alphonso IX (King of Castile and Leon) and Llewellyn the Great (Prince of Wales). It also cites that Greystock was descended from the Mortimers.

However, since MacKenzie doesn't get the family name right (Greystoke not Greystock), this citing is suspect. But it's interesting!
